History of Transmed Hair and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic

1994: Transmed was established by Melike Külahçı,
MD.
in Istanbul as an international medical center providing services in the field of hair and cosmetic surgery.
1994: Transmed was the first clinic to perform "Follicular Unit Transplantation" in the field of hair restoration surgery in Turkey with the long-lasting efforts of its medical team.
1995: Transmed was the first clinic to perform the technique of "Mini-Micro Grafting" in hair transplantation surgery in Turkey.
1998: Transmed introduced Laser Epilation to Turkey with Epilight and Alaxandrite. Medical team started offering Liposhaping and plastic surgery services under the guidance of Dr. Giorgio Fischer from Rome.
1998:
Transmed established the first web site addressing hair loss and hair restoration in Turkey.
1998: Developed by Transmed Medical Team, Mega Mix Grafting technique was introduced for the first time in Turkey and abroad. . The technique was demonstrated at the first annual ESHRS meeting held in the city of Rome in Italy.
Dr. Melike Külahçı, attended ESHRS as a Board Member as the founder and medical director of Transmed and lectured in the fifth annual ISHRS meeting held in Washington DC, USA.
1999: The medical team of Transmed performed a live Mega Mix Grafting operation on the second annual ESHRS meeting held in Paris,France.
2000: In Istanbul, Transmed hosted the 3rd ESHRS meeting which was attended by more than 150 Hair Restoration physicians from all over the world.
ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery) elected Melike Külahçı as ISHRS Board Governor.
2009: Reversa & Fast
Forward hair therapy research and development work was completed.
2009: Operation room capacity was increased to five rooms. Transmed became the hair restoration center with the largest capacity within Europe and Turkey.
2010: Melike Külahçı, MD. was elected as a member of Coalition (Independent Hair Restoration Physicians Coalition) and Alliance (International Hair Restoration Physicians Alliance) both of whom are established independent regulatory authorities in USA.
2011: Transmed hosted the first Live Surgery Regional ISHRS Workshop in Turkey. The Next Big Thing Workshop brought together the best researchers and surgeons in the field of hair in May. Over a hundred participants from 32 countries met to watch live FUE surgical operations and lectures given by pioneers in the field.
