FUE
Follicular Unit Extraction/FUE
|
 In the method of FUE, the follicular unit is extracted directly from root level of the skin. No bistoury is used in the donor area, no suture is placed on this region and no visible scar is left on the points where the roots are obtained. The roots obtained are placed in the canals opened by the plastic surgeons on the regions without hair.

When Dr. Rassman explained the results of the method of FUE which he called F.O.X procedure in October 2003, our scientific team investigated this extraction method. TRANSMED performed its first FUE operation in January 2004.
After 2004 Transmed’s plastic surgeons performed 10 million follicular unit restorations in more than 5000 FUE sessions. Currently, 4000 follicular units can be extracted in a session of 3 hours in Transmed clinic. This number can not be exceeded, because thinned regions in the donor area become visible.
FUE method in Transmed
Follicular units are extracted from the posterior and lateral regions of the scalp one by one. Microsurgery motor and devices with a diameter of 0.70-0.90 mm manufactured specifically for extraction procedure are used for follicular unit extraction. To be sure each follicular unit is extracted one by one and completely extraction procedure is conducted in a stepwise fashion by our physicians.
