Reversa

ReversaTransmed research team observed that hair loss stopped temporarily for 2-3 weeks in patients treated with Reversa system and the hair on the region where the application was performed gained hair density in the following 3 months [1]. If vitamin supplements that accelerate re-growth of lost hair are administered in combination, the results are more satisfactory.

What is Reversa?
Reversa system is a process that a mixture of “Platelet Rich Plasma” liquid called PRP and platelet derived autologous protein is applied on the region where hair is thinning.

Why Reversa?
In contrast to the other PRP applications, it is a procedure performed completely under supervision of hematologists, biologists and specialist physicians in the laboratory at Transmed. Reversa system is completely based on FDA-approved practices in foreign literature and the results of studies conducted by Transmed AR&GE team.

Is it safe to apply Reversa to everyone?
Reversa system can be performed in men or women who have hair loss but not completely lost hair due to genetic or seasonal factors. Very successful results are gained in the treatment of regional hair loss disease which is called “ALOPECIA AREATA” in medical literature.

How is process in Reversa system?
Reversa system is administration of platelets taken from your own blood into the scalp by activating with proteins obtained again from platelets. It is prepared completely with your own blood.

Hair Root Map: The map of the hair roots which have entered into “miniaturization” cycle (when the diameters start to narrow) with hair roots in the donor area.

With the help of the map the region of application and if the patient is appropriate for Reversa is determined.

Reversa30-cc blood is taken from the patient to prepare “Platelet Rich Plasma”. This amount is about one tube of blood same as you give for any blood test. After this blood is centrifuged with a special set for a certain time, it is separated into its elements in the tube: the platelets obtained here are activated by a sterile process and prepared to be administered into the scalp.

After Reversa Cocktail is administered with spaces of 1 cm2 into the scalp with superficial injection technique, the remaining amount is applied in spray format on the treated region.

The application region is not washed for 24 hours. During this period, mild pain is expected due to injections, but removes in approximately 2 hours after the application. Since Reversa cocktail does not contain other substances else than your own blood and a natural protein mixture, there is no risk of allergic reaction or infection after the treatment.

You can arrange appointments with our doctors to get details about the procedure.

What are the side effects of Reversa system?
Since the Reversa mixture administered is composed of natural activators obtained from your own blood, there is absolutely no risk of allergic reaction or infection during or after the procedure.

What is PRP used in the Reversa system?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) used in Reversa system is a blood side product which has been used to accelerate wound healing since 1970’s in the whole world. Specifically during the last decade, PRP has been used in star athletes and baseball players in sports sector in USA and thus has become a widely reputable treatment method. Has Reversa system been proved?
PRP has been approved by FDA in USA. In addition, activators used in the Reversa system and proteins released from the platelets are autologous (produced from the patient’s own blood and given to the patient) and there are many literature declaring that they help cellular growth.

The effects of the Reversa system can vary from patient to patient. Therefore, expectations should be moderate and it should be kept in mind that the positive effects of treatment may not be the same in every patient.
